Application Process for Four-Year Technical Colleges
Application process
1、Registration date
Early bird registration period: From April 15, 2024 (Monday) to May 19, 2024 (Sunday。
General registration period: From May 20, 2024 (Monday) to July 7, 2024 (Sunday).。
2、Registration method
Please go to the registration system to fill out the online application and upload the relevant documents. After completing the online registration process, the system will automatically send a completion email notification. Please make sure that the email address you registered can receive emails properly。

Foreign students applying for admission are exempt from the registration fee。
5、Application documents
Applicants are required to upload files according to the system's instructions (in the format requested by the registration system), as follows:

Application form (online submission): Please upload a two-inch color passport-style photo (headshot with no hat) when filling out the information in the registration system. Make sure to enter valid information during registration to avoid any potential issues with your application. Once completed, the system will automatically generate the application form

Passport or local identity document (1 copy): Please submit a copy of your passport or local identity document. If you have a foreign resident permit, a copy of the permit is required. Those who meet the Ministry of Education's "Regulations on the Admission of Foreign Students to Taiwan" Article 2, who have foreign nationality and have (or had) dual nationality with the Republic of China, are required to additionally submit the following: recent 6-year immigration record, declaration of no household registration, proof of loss of Republic of China nationality, or other relevant documents。

1 copy of academic certification documents (for languages other than Chinese or English, it is recommended to include a Chinese or English translation certified by the graduated institution or a government authority):

A copy of the high school (or above) graduation certification document must be submitted by the latest at the time of registration。

After receiving the admission approval, when registering, you must submit the verified graduation certificate (original and copy with the certification stamp) from a Taiwan overseas mission, representative office, or other agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Only then can you complete your registration and enrollment。

A copy of the high school transcript (at least including the grades from the 1st to the 5th semester of high school。

If the school has doubts regarding the authenticity of the application documents, it may request additional verification documents authenticated by the overseas embassy or consulate。

After receiving the admission approval, when completing the registration, you must submit the verified transcript (original and copy with the certification stamp) from a Taiwan overseas mission, representative office, or other agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Only then will you be allowed to register and enrol。

Language proficiency document: A copy of the certificate proving Chinese language proficiency at the TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) A1 level (beginner level) or above, or proof of passing the Chinese language proficiency test administered by the university's language center。

Personal statement (1 copy, optional document): A personal statement written in Chinese or English, with a word count of 300 to 1000 words.)。

Admission review process
1、Grading method

Admission review scores: The evaluation is based on the interview score (40%) and the written review materials score (60%). Candidates will be admitted based on merit。

(A) Interview conducted by assigned interviewers who travel to various countries for in-person interviews,
(B) Remote video interviews。 -
Candidates who are approved by the department for the program and do not need to participate in the video interview may be directly included in the recommended admission list。

Due to the impact of infectious diseases or special circumstances, it is temporarily impossible to conduct in-person interviews in various countries. Therefore, online video interviews will be adopted instead。
2、Admission criteria

The admission committee of this program will select candidates based on their total evaluation score, admitting the best candidates, with others placed on the waiting list. The minimum admission standards will be announced based on the final admission results。

f there are vacancies among the admitted students, candidates on the waiting list will be admitted in order, up to the approved enrollment quota。

The university may admit students with insufficient numbers based on their scores. If the number of admitted students is insufficient, candidates on the waiting list will not be considered.。

If the final number of admitted students in each class is less than 25, the class will not be held。

In the case of the same admission review score, the ranking will be determined in the following order:

Send the admission notice
1、The university will send the admission (including conditional admission) notice via email.
Work items: Send the confirmation of enrollment declaration and admission (including conditional admission) notice.
Dates: June 25, 2024 (Thursday) to July 31, 2024 (Wednesday).
Note: The "activation of the waiting list for supplementary admission" and "sending of the confirmation of enrollment declaration and admission notice" may be delayed or advanced depending on the review process timeline.
Due to infectious diseases or special circumstances, the online registration and review process may be postponed, and the announcement of the admission list, sending of admission notices, and visa assistance timeline will also be delayed.
2. Online registration for admitted students
Signing the "confirmation of enrollment declaration" is crucial for student rights. Please complete and sign the attached confirmation of enrollment declaration (Attachment 3) and return it by email to int-program@ncut.edu.tw within the deadline stated in the university's email. Failure to submit by the deadline will be considered as forfeiting the admission, and no objections will be accepted.

Check-in and Registration for Enrollment

Admitted students must go to the International Affairs Office of the university to complete the check-in procedures。

Admitted students must follow the instructions in the admission notice to complete the registration process. The following documents must be submitted during registration; failure to submit them will prevent the student from registering and enrolling:
- Passport (original will be verified and returned) and a copy of the Taiwan visa page.
- Original academic qualification document or equivalent academic qualification certificate (must be verified by the Taiwan representative office or relevant authority in the country where the qualification was awarded; if the qualification is from a Taiwanese institution, no verification by the overseas mission is required).
- Original academic transcript from the highest level of education (must be verified by the Taiwan representative office or relevant authority in the country where the transcript was issued; if the transcript is from a Taiwanese institution, no verification by the overseas mission is required)

Financial proof certificate:

A financial proof certificate issued by a financial institution within the last three months (with at least USD 1,000), or a certificate of full scholarship provided by a government, higher education institution, or private organization。

The conditions for reviewing financial proof for applicants are: The proof must be issued by a bank or other financial institution in the form of a deposit certificate. The financial proof can be either a current or fixed deposit. If the certificate is issued in the applicant's name, it must include the bank's official stamp. If it is issued in the name of the applicant's parents, a notarized document must also be attached. However, if the applicant has a certificate of full scholarship provided by the government, higher education institution, or private organization, this is not required.。

Health check certificate:

Issued by a hospital within the last six months。

The health check certificate should be submitted after admission is confirmed, during the check-in and registration process. If the certificate is not submitted, the admission will be canceled. If the health check does not meet the required standards, the applicant will be subject to the relevant laws, such as the "Immigration Act" and "Regulations on the Stay and Residence of Foreigners。

Other Application Notes

The applicant's basic Chinese proficiency will be assessed by the respective department during the review process.。

If an international student submits falsified, fabricated, or altered admission documents, their admission will be revoked. If already enrolled, their student status will be canceled, and no academic certificates will be issued. If discovered after graduation, the school will revoke their graduation qualification and cancel their degree certificate..。

International students who, after coming to Taiwan for study, apply for household registration, change of household registration, naturalization, or restoration of Republic of China nationality during their study period will lose their status as international students and will be dismissed from school.。

International students who are dismissed due to failing academic performance or disciplinary violations, or those convicted of a criminal offense resulting in dismissal, are not allowed to apply for admission again. If this rule is violated and verified, their admission will be revoked or their student status will be terminated。

At the time of registration, international students must provide proof of medical and injury insurance with a validity of at least six months from the date of entry into Taiwan. Current students must provide proof of enrollment in Taiwan’s National Health Insurance or other related insurance. If the insurance certificate is issued abroad, it must be verified by a Taiwanese diplomatic office.。

When registering for admission, international students who have not completed more than one-third of the first semester of the academic year will be admitted in that semester. If this period is exceeded, their admission will be canceled.。

By applying for admission, applicants consent to authorize the university to use the personal and related academic information obtained through their application for admissions purposes. Applicants also agree to provide their application and academic data to (1) the applicants themselves, and (2) to assist in the registration or enrollment process。

Applicants who have doubts about the results of the review process may complete the "Foreign Student Application Appeal Form" (form details can be found in the appendix), and submit it in writing with specific reasons and supporting documents to the university's admissions committee within 30 days after the release of the admission list. The university will handle the appeal according to relevant regulations. Appeals that are not signed will not be processed.。

In case of any discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions of this guide, the Chinese version shall prevail. Any matters not covered in this guide shall be handled according to the relevant laws and the decisions made by the university's admissions committee.。
