GENERAL EDUCATION
In recent years, with the changing social environment and the expansion of higher education, the educational goals of today's universities have shifted from elite education to mass education. Talent recruitment in social enterprises has also shifted from being professional and knowledge-oriented to being competence and attitude-oriented. Many surveys indicate that Taiwanese university students generally lack expressive ability, planning skills, and team communication skills. Moreover, the factors considered by industries in employing talents are good work attitude, stability and resilience, expressive and communication skills, willingness to learn and adaptability, professional knowledge and skills, and teamwork ability, in that order. These factors are closely related to general education. To respond to this social trend and change, and to cultivate the "soft power" of our students, our college coordinates the university's general education courses and conducts related activities. Within the college, we have established both a Basic General Education Center and a Liberal Arts General Education Center, forming a tripartite collaboration with the college's main body to mutually assist each other. The purpose of basic general education courses is to lay a foundation of knowledge for students, while liberal arts general education courses aim to broaden students' horizons.
