Tuition and miscellaneous fee charging standards

The table below provides the tuition and miscellaneous fee charging standards per semester for the current academic year as a reference. The currency is in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD). The actual fees are subject to the announcement of the charging standards for the respective year. National Chin-Yi University of Technology reserves the right to make adjustments. (Link)

※For the specialized program, tuition and miscellaneous fees are waived for the first semester. Before each semester, students must pass a review of their academic performance and conduct scores from the previous semester and comply with school regulations. Those who pass the review and complete the registration process will have their tuition and miscellaneous fees waived from the second to the fourth semester. However, if a student fails to achieve at least Level 2 (A2) in the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) by the end of the second semester, they will be dismissed and will not receive tuition and fee waivers for the third semester.

Accommodation fees, meal fees, insurance fees, internet fees, etc., are for reference only. All fees are in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD), and the amount in USD is an estimate (1 USD ≈ 30 NTD).。

Group health insurance fee

For the first 6 months after arriving in Taiwan, the fee is 600 New Taiwan Dollars per month, totaling 3,600 New Taiwan Dollars for 6 months. The fee is to be paid upon registration.

Health insurance fee

After the student has stayed in Taiwan for 6 months, the fee will be 826 New Taiwan Dollars per month. The fee is to be paid each semester.

Dormitory fee

This fee is for accommodation in the school dormitory during the first academic year. Starting from the second semester, the fee will be based on off-campus housing standards.

Dormitory water and electricity fee

This is a prepaid fee, to be paid along with the dormitory fee. The actual utility fees will be calculated at the end of each semester, with any excess refunded and any shortage to be supplemented.

  1. Students who need to work part-time must apply for a work permit.

  2. During the academic term, part-time work is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week, and work must end no later than 10:00 PM.

Scholarship and financial aid

Entrance scholarship

  • New students who complete registration will receive 15,000 New Taiwan Dollars (approximately 500 USD) for the first semester.

Full tuition scholarship

  • Students who meet academic and conduct requirements, comply with school regulations, and pass the review and complete registration by the university.

  • Tuition and miscellaneous fees are waived for the first and second academic years. (By the start of the third semester, students must pass the Chinese language proficiency test at Level 2 (A2) or higher.)

Internship allowance

  • Students who successfully match with an internship partner as recognized by the collaborating company will be arranged for off-campus internship courses. If the internship match is unsuccessful or the internship course cannot be completed, students will be arranged for on-campus professional courses without an internship allowance.

  • Students who pass the industry internship course and comply with school regulations, and who are approved through the review process, will receive internship allowances.

  •  Based on the curriculum of each specialized program, off-campus internships will be provided. In accordance with local labor laws, students participating in industry internships will receive a minimum internship allowance of 190 New Taiwan Dollars per hour.
