New Southbound Programs

International Program Entrance Scholarships

Eligible Applicants:

Limited to students from New Southbound countries enrolled in international programs.

Qualifications for Application:

  1. Completion of registration for the current semester.

  2. Students who have received scholarships for admission and academic purposes under this guideline in the current semester are not eligible to apply for scholarships of the same nature issued by the university. If it is found that a student has duplicated applications and received scholarships, the entire scholarship amount must be returned. Failure to return it on time will result in legal proceedings for reimbursement.

Academic Scholarship for International Programs

Applicants:

Limited to students from New Southbound countries enrolled in international programs.

Eligibility:

  1. Registered for the current semester.

  2. Students who have received scholarships for admission and academic purposes as stipulated in these guidelines for the current semester are not eligible to reapply for the same type of scholarship. If it is found that duplicate applications have been made, the entire scholarship amount must be returned. Failure to return it in a timely manner will result in legal action for reimbursement.

Review Criteria:

Students must complete registration and payment of tuition and fees, and their grades from the previous semester must meet the following two criteria:

  1. Semester GPA of at least 60 points, with at least half of the subjects passed.

  2. Conduct score of at least 80 points and no disciplinary action above a warning.

Overseas Youth Technical Training Program International Specialized Class Scholarship

To encourage diligent learning among financially disadvantaged students enrolled in the "Four-Year Collaborative Bachelor's Degree Program for Overseas Youth Technical Training" (hereinafter referred to as the Four-Year Overseas Youth Program), the "Regulations for International Specialized Class Scholarships for Four-Year Collaborative Bachelor's Degree Program for Overseas Youth Technical Training" (hereinafter referred to as these Regulations) are hereby established.

Beneficiary:

New students enrolled in the Four-Year Collaborative Bachelor's Degree Program for Overseas Youth Technical Training since the academic year 112 (inclusive), who have not received scholarships from Taiwanese government agencies (excluding scholarships from the Overseas Community Affairs Council for the Four-Year Overseas Youth Program).

Evaluation Criteria and Method:

  • The International Affairs Office will recommend a list of outstanding students who meet the criteria for financial need. A review panel will conduct the evaluation.

  • Upon passing the review, students will receive NT$25,000 for the first semester. Starting from the second semester, students must complete registration and pay tuition and fees. Additionally, the grades from the previous semester must meet the following criteria to continue receiving the scholarship:

  1. Achieve an average score of 60 or above in the academic subjects during the previous semester, with no more than half of the subjects failed.

  2. Attain a conduct score of 80 or above and not have received disciplinary action above a warning during the previous semester.

Scholarship for International Specialization Students in Overseas Youth Technical Training Program

To enhance international competitiveness and promote local internationalization, the 'Four-Year Industrial-Academic Cooperative Bachelor's Overseas Youth Technical Training Program' (hereinafter referred to as the Four-Year Overseas Youth Program) is established to recruit outstanding students from New Southbound countries to enroll in our university, and to assist students in the Four-Year Overseas Youth Program in smoothly completing their studies, alleviating their living and studying difficulties. This document outlines the 'Scholarship for International Specialization Students in the Four-Year Industrial-Academic Cooperative Bachelor's Overseas Youth Technical Training Program' (hereinafter referred to as these guidelines).

Eligibility for Scholarships:

Limited to students in the Four-Year Overseas Youth Program.

Qualifications for Application:

Completion of registration for the current semester, subject to completion of the review process.
